Coverage requirements

Iceland's expedition offerings — volcanic highland crossings, glacier hikes, and circumnavigation cruises — come with risks from rapidly changing weather, glacial rivers, and geothermal hazards. While Reykjavík has excellent medical facilities, inland highlands and the remote Westfjords have limited access, and SAR operations by ICE-SAR volunteers are world-class but evacuation can be slow in winter.

Primary requirement

Adventure activity coverage (glacier hiking, ice caving, snorkeling Silfra)

Additional requirements
  1. 2 Volcanic activity trip disruption coverage
  2. 3 Highland F-road and off-road vehicle coverage
  3. 4 Weather delay and trip interruption coverage

Regional risk levels
